With three of the most popular composers in Mollywood and a promising new entrant painting the town red with the tunes of love, the music of Mollywood’s first love anthology, Anju Sundarikal, is a treat.
Gopi Sunder’s title track,
Ekantham Janmangal, introduces Murder-fame singer Kunal Ganjawala to Mollywood.
The duet with Sreya Raghav has already struck the right chords in M-Town. Riding high on Amen’s Ee Solamanum, composer Prasanth Pillai and singer Preeti Pillai team up for Thammil Thammil, penned by Kavalam Narayana Panicker. Trust Bijibal to work his magic on a rain-soaked melody, and Mazha Nertha Raagam Choodi ensures another hit for singer Gayathri Asokan too.
Singer Neha S Nair takes on a new role — as composer — with Yakzan Gary Pereira for Mandarakatte. While Rafeeq Ahmed’s lines are rich and rustic, Neha turns songwriter for the soft melody Kaanadooram, besides scoring its music with Yakzan. A fast and racy number by the Black Letters band is another highlight.
